ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - Minutes

Note: Lou Villeneuve requested in writing that Faith Whiting act as a proxy for her at the meeting

  1. Motion: Approve the agenda as presented

Discussion: 

  • What is involved in becoming certified and aligned to CAS’s AquaGO program? This should be a focus of this year

  1. Financial Report (to end of October)

Discussion:

  • Suggestion to align AGM with financial reporting processes (Spring)

  1. Motion: Approve the partial finances of the year ending March 2026

6. Motion: Be it resolved that the members of Yukon Artistic Swimming Association recognize that we are in compliance with the societies Act of Yukon as per our reporting after AGM each year.

7. Motion: Be it resolved that the members of the Yukon Artistic Swimming Association support the motion to waive the requirement for a review or audit of the financial statements by a professional accountant.

8. New Board Elections: The following was moved and approved:

Youth Swimmer Members: Layla Knight, Lucy Grandy, Ember Biggin-Pound


Action Items for the new board: 

  • Proposed changes for next session:

    • Beginner will be Tuesday and Thursday (no 1-day option)

    • Fees may increase slightly

    • Length of classes - feels okay

    • Clarify that the hot tub is allowed 

  • In general, look at a full year of registration (discuss at Spring AGM for Fall 2026 programming)

  • Consider summer programming
