The Yukon Artistic Swimming Association and the Northern Novas club are volunteer run by passionate parents and community members, and are advised and supported by our wonderful coaches - all past members of the Northern Novas!
Coaches
Jane is a proud Northern Nova alum who swam with the team from 2005 to 2012. After many years away, she’s excited to return and be part of the new era of artistic swimming in the Yukon! She is thrilled to be coaching this season and sharing her love of the sport with the next generation of swimmers. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, reading, and cycling. Jane is looking forward to giving back to the team that gave her so much!
Camron - Camron is a 23-year-old, born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. Camron was part of the Northern Novas Synchronized Swimming team and swam for the club for several years, taking part in national competitions. Camron is excited to join the club again as a swim coach and looks forward to supporting swimmers in reaching their goals while keeping the practices safe, fun, and challenging.
Mia - Mia is a former member of the Northern Novas, where she swam from 2012 to 2021. Starting at just six years old, she fell in love with every aspect of artistic swimming. Outside the pool, Mia enjoys breakdancing, fishing, and traveling. She’s excited to reconnect with everyone and share her passion and knowledge with the next generation of swimmers!
Helene - Helene was born and raised in Whitehorse and has been swimming since she was 11. Starting artistic swimming at Northern Novas she grew to absolutely love the sport and went on to compete in different regional competitions and Canada Winter Games in 2019 for artistic swimming representing Team Yukon. She took a hiatus after graduating high school but continues to love the sport and is so excited to help grow the team!!
